Android users made up 40% of global mobile usage in December


Based on data from a StatCounter chart, those with Android devices made up 43% of the worlds mobile usage in December, up 10% from last year at the same time. Windows Phone saw their share rise from 0.91% last year to 2.08% this year.

Devices powered by iOS made up 23.26% of the data consumption in December 2012, with this years figures dropping slightly to 21.82%. BlackBerry users were responsible for 3.63% of all data globally this year, up slightly from the 3.53% it registered last year. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Windows Phone overtake BlackBerry next December however.
