Anonymous hacks MIT website on anniversary of Aaron Swartz suicide

Anonymous Hacks MIT AgainThis day last year a popular Internet Activist, Aaron Swartz committed suicide. Reddit, Creative Commons and Demand Progress co-founder Arron Swartz’s suicide was the result of on ongoing battle between Internet Activists and Governments. MIT had played a major and active role in the prosecution of Arron Swartz.

Aaron SwartzToday Anonymous, the most popular Internet activist group replaced the MIT website’s cogen.mit.edu and is now directing the visitors to the website for “The Day We Fight Back“. The day we fight back is a protest day which is on February 11 2014. This operation is for drawing the attention of mass to the activist’s role in the victory over the Stop Online Piracy Act and the participants include Demand Progress, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Fight for the Future, Reddit, Mozilla, and more.
