On September 5th, Microsoft’s Bing division partnered up with the product search company Local.com to deliver a more immersive search experience for users. Now, when you’re searching for goods and products, Bing will be able to tell you what local stores have the item in stock.
Local’s shopping data platform provides information from stores including locations, brands, categories and product availability. The platform also operates in real-time, so if there is a discount or a coupon available, Bing will tell you.
The chairman and CEO of Local.com stated that:
“We’re pleased to be partnering with Bing to provide relevant local product shopping information to millions of consumers. Our dynamic local product data enhances the online shopping experience for consumers by providing them with valuable information about which retailers carry the products they are looking for.”
