BlackBerry haven’t been having a good time of late, but it’s just gone from bad to worse with the latest development. The company’s manufacturing partner, Jabil Circuit has seemingly had enough of troubles with the company and are looking for a way out. Speaking on the company’s quarterly earnings call yesterday, Jabil CEO Mark Mondello said that “we are faced with a strong possibility of disengaging with BlackBerry,” adding, “our team has worked diligently over the past few days to comprehend the recently announced changes,” and that “we’re in discussions right now on how we’re going to wind down the relationship.”

BlackBerry is Jabil’s second-biggest customer behind Apple, so you can speculate that is a decision that wasn’t taken lightly but looks like one they intend to move quickly on. Mark Mondello added that the company is looking for a path that is in the best interest of the company’s shareholders yet also one that “supports the needs of BlackBerry”.
