BlackBerry is looking to sell itself by November according to reports from the Wall Street Jorunal.
Citing those “familiar with the matter”, the WSJ reported that BlackBerry has already been having some chats with interested parties who wish to buy some, or all of the company. A list of potential candidates has been drawn up with the actual sales process said to be starting soon according to one of the sources.
Lenovo is just one of many companies expected to be in the running to buy BlackBerry. However, there are other Asian technology firms eyeing up BlackBerry. Other suitors include Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Bain Capital according to the source. It was also reported that BlackBerry may find itself split up with different buyers taking over different parts of the company.
