Facebook’s ever present ‘Like’ buttons are set to undergo a makeover, with the company replacing the old buttons with a newer, bluer button. Facebook announced the new design on Wednesday for the off-site ‘Like’ and ‘Share’ buttons. The company says that th e new buttons should help web sites get more referral traffic then before.
Facebook’s current buttons are currently featured on 7.5 million sites are they are viewed 22 billion times on any given day according to the company. If you’re using the older design buttons currently, you’ll automatically get the news ones when Facebook begins to roll them out.
