For $5.9 Billion Activision Blizzard purchases King

We have surprising news for you; gaming giant Activision Blizzard has established a contract to obtain King.com. They are the maker of the very popular and addictive game Candy Crush and also other games that you may never play in your life.

King claims that they had 474 million monthly active users in the third quarter this year. King went public in 2014.

Activision is saying that on 2nd November Activision Blizzard, Inc. and King Digital Entertainment signed an agreement which states that ABS Partners C.V., a fully owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard will obtain all the shares of King of 18$ per share, which values total of 5.9 billion.

Activision Blizzard thinks that if they add King’s greatly complemented business their position as global leader in interactive entertainment in platforms like mobile, console and PC will improve which indicates the future growth of the company. This combined company will achieve a world-class interactive entertainment of top performing franchises.

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick said in a press conference

The proceeds and profits of this combined company will coagulate their position as the largest and most profitable individual company in the interactive entertainment business. With this joined global network of more than half a billion monthly users are giving them the chance to reach their customers all over the world on the device of their choice which helps them to deliver excellent games to a greater number of people.

The CEO of King Digital Entertainment plc Riccardo Zacconi said

They were excited to join with Activision Blizzard through this contract, from 2003 they have created one of the biggest player networks on the mobile and Facebook with 474 million monthly users; and their extraordinary team has created a number of most successful mobile game franchises. They think that this contract will help them to reach the next phase of the evolution of their company which will bring more advantages to their players and their staffs.
