So if the Galaxy S series of devices from Samsung is not premium enough for you, you might be left with goosebumps after hearing this news. Samsung is planning to launch a super premium line up of smartphones under Galaxy F series. The reports suggest we will see at least one Galaxy F device by the beginning of next year if everything goes according to plans.
Samsung has been stuck with the Galaxy S series for a while now and this reduced Samsung’s number of flagships per year into just 2, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 this year. The problem with this is, once some time passes after the flagship is launched, there will be other launches of flagships from other competitors like Sony, LG etc which will obviously outshine Samsung’s flagship. This year the same happened after Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy S4. After the launch of Galaxy S4, Sony launched their Xperia Z1 and LG launched their flagship LG G2. To compete against this Samsung’s Note III was not enough, mostly because of the size of the device is not something everyone is looking to get on a smartphone.
The Industry insiders believe that this is what led Samsung to make this decision to come up with new super premium line up. The reports hint an early 2014 launch for the first device in the Galaxy F line up and will be costlier than Galaxy Note. Various rumours suggest that the first Samsung Galaxy F Series device will sport a metal body which is a first for Samsung, Octa-core Exynos CPU and 16 megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilization. We will update you with more info on Galaxy F series from Samsung as we get it.
