Google Search adds hashtag support, data pulled from Google+

The latest way that Google is trying to include social media into searches is to add hashtag support. However, for now the hashtag will only pull information from the company’s own social network, Google+ and does not currently include Twitter or Facebook. The function is available initially to users in the USA and Canada and when using a hashtag in your search, the right side of the window will display relevant results.

However, you won’t see the feature just yet if you’re reading this in the US and Canada, it’s going live “within the next few hours”.
