HTC has yet to introduce the HTC One Max to the world, but a tweet by the serial leaker, evleaks appears to have revealed the branding of the phablet. When the device does finally make it to market, the rumour mill is speculating that it will come with a fingerprint scanner. Just last month, the CMO of HTC, Ben Ho, said that he expects the phablet to be released in the fourth quarter of this year. In the tweet, evleaks made a point of pointing out how the word “max”, is in subscript as opposed to a larger sized font that you would expect to see in order to emphasize the size of the phone.
When launches, the HTC One Max will be facing some tough competition from others. With the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra expected to challenge the device this year. The Z Ultra will also come with the largest screen size of any current handset at 6.4 inches. Another challenge may also come in the form of the first Windows Phone phablet, the 6 inch Nokia Lumia 1520.
