Huawei has announced the mini version of their upcoming flagship device Ascend P7. The device is named as Ascend P7 mini and comes with a 4.5 inch in-cell TFT display with a resolution of 540 x 960 (qHD), a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU, Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory with an option to expand the storage upto 32 GB using a micoSD card. The device also features back and front-facing cameras with 8MP and 5MP respectively and a 2000 mAh battery. The device will run Android 4.3 out of the box.
The fact that Huawei decided to introduce their mini version before the full sized version came as a surprise and will be a marketing risk for the company. Ascend P7 mini was introduced in Germany and according to reports the device will be available in Europe very soon. The phone will be offering 4G LTE connectivity with a maximum download speed of 150Mbps and 50 Mbps maximum upload speed. The pricing hasn’t been disclosed as of now.
