Huawei Chief Executive Reveales They Are Aiming To Be One Of The Top 3 Brands By The End of 2015

In an interview with the Telegraph Richard Yu, Huawei Chief Executive has revealed their hope to get Huawei on to the top 3 brand by 2015. They plans to take on the big brands such as Samsung and Apple by targeting their weaknesses and thus by building the best smart phone.

Yu goes on to say that the marketing tactics are the one thing that made the Samsung as it is today. Considering the amount of money Samsung spends on marketing, we think this is somewhat true.

“If you invest in marketing and branding then people will always buy no matter how good the products are. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is just a so-so smartphone.”

Yu Says.

Now when it comes to Apple, he says, they already are going downwards in the consumer interests with the lack of any phones with large screens. Huawei is planning to manufacture a lot of large screen devices along with slimmer models. It was only last week Huawei released their new thin smart phone Ascend P6 which is the thinnest phone in the world with its body with just 6.18mm thickness. This smart phone runs a simpler version on Android with a custom UI from Huawei called Emotion UI.

“I think it’d be hard to displace Samsung and Apple. But with products like these priced like they are, I think Huawei has very credible aims,”

Sir Charles Dunstone, CEO of Carphone Warehouse said to telegraph when asked about Huawei’s new smart phone.
