Jelly Bean Runs On More Than 40 Percent Of Android Devices

The latest numbers from Google says Jelly Bean is now holding more than 40% of share in Android devices. Last time when the numbers were checked it took both 4.1 and 4.2 together for surpassing Gingerbreads number ie, 2.3.3 through 2.3.7 that too with very small number. But not any more. As of now Android 4.1 alone has almost 34% android device share and when combined with Android 4.2 the latest flavour of Android, Jelly Bean is way ahead with the 40.5% share.

The numbers also say, Ice Cream Sandwich is at the 3rd position with 22.5% of active devices. If you’re wondering about all those not so popular android versions, they have a considerably less share. According to the report Honeycomb (v3.2) and Donut (v1.6) are having a 0.1 percent of active devices. Let us know which version of android are you having on your smart phone by commenting below.
