LG is launching an enhanced version its Optimus G in Europe. The Optimus G enhanced version will see several updates and additions in its softwares.
Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 comes out of the box for this updated model which LG has already started rolling out to teh old LG Optimus G smart-phones. Another addition is QSlide which will let yo run application on top another app with added transparency, which can be adjusted. Along with the transparency the size and position of the windows also can be adjusted. QSlide will work with applications such as built-in video player, browser, memo, calendar application and calculator.
Then there is a feature called privacy keeper which will block the caller information for incoming calls by default. If you want to see the info, you just have to slide/swipe through the screen and the info will be displayed like normal.
Safety Care is also a new feature that comes with this new version of Optimus G, which can be useful in emergency situations. It will send SMS with the location information to a few selected contacts whenever an emergency number is dialed. It can also be configured to send the SMS when the phone goes unused for a certain amount of time or the phone is used to call a designated contact.
Google now, Film Strip View in Gallery Expandable notifications etc., are also new features that comes with the enhanced version. Other than this, there is nothing much to talk about. The basic hardware specifications stay the same for the new model.
