LG has unveiled their 2nd generation Pocket Photo, a pocket sized printer which lets you print photos from your smartphones. The device will be shown in detail on the CES 2014, which is due in January 7th. The device will be available in 3 different colors, pink, jewel and white. The device will be launched in South Korea in January as a first step, then will be rolled out globally.
The new gen Pocket Photo is thinner and has improved battery life. The photos will be printed at 600 DPI and support NFC and Bluetooth. The device is compatible with Android, iOS and Windows 8 devices. The device doesn’t use conventional ink cartridges or toner, instead it uses ZINK’s inkless paper system which will preserve images longer and produce less smearing.
