One of India’s biggest smartphone manufacturer Micromax has launched their latest flagship device Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 and the sales will start tomorrow. This is their first phone launch after hiring Hugh Jackman as their brand ambassador. But it doesn’t stop there, Micromax is planning to launch the device in Russia on a trial run and if it goes well for the company, they plan to launch the device in several regions in the whole Europe.
Although the phone is priced low and has good specs, it has a few weak points. First of all the phone doesn’t support microSD cards and comes with just 16 GB storage, not a good move by Micromax. Another problem is, the full HD display on a phone which comes with a 2000 mAh battery. Now when looking at the good side of the phone it’s a pretty view too. The phone features 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor, PowerVR SGX544 graphics chip, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, a 13 megapixel camera located at the back, a 5 megapixel one on the front and comes with a 2000 mAh battery. The phone comes with Android 4.1.2 which also is a drawback considering Google is about to launch Android 4.4 KitKat! Micromax Canvas Turbo will cost you 19,990 rupees, or roughly $325 in India. We don’t have any information on Russia launch or the price tag they are planning for Russia as of now.
We will have to wait and see if Micromax manages to gain market share in European markets too like they did in India. Let us know your thoughts by commenting below.
