According to latest reports Microsoft is planning to merge both their app stores from handhelds and the PCs into one. The reports came after Microsoft executive VP Terry Myerson told the employees about the plans. Microsoft is planning to merge Windows Phone Store and Windows Store into one and release the new store in the next version of Windows Phone 8.1 and a special update planned for Windows 8.1. The update wil be out by next spring but other than that no information is available at the moment.
Myerson once told that “all of the apps we bring to end users should be available on all of our devices”. Now this hints us a possibility of working apps from the Windows Phone Store on larger screened devices. Anyway we can’t be sure of anything. Let us know if this is a wise move by Microsoft by commenting below.
