Netflix to head to the Netherlands


Netflix said on Wednesday that its service will be available in the Netherlands in “late 2013”, adding that it’s streaming service will offer “Hollywood, local and global TV series and films, including critically-acclaimed Netflix Original Series such as ‘House of Cards’ and ‘Arrested Development’ whenever and wherever they like on tablets, phones, TVs, game consoles and computers.”

The move into the Netherlands marks the continuing expansion of the streaming service into Europe. With coverage that ranges from Finland to Ireland.

Int he last year, Netflix has made a significant push to tap into the European market by launching its streaming service in Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway. The service is also available in the UK and in Ireland.

Netflix has said that it plans to announce further details on its service for the Netherlands, including pricing and available content, at a later date.
