We heard it recently that Google’s 2015 flagships models are going to be called the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P and much to our delight there is more exciting news on the way. As 29th September comes closer, slowly yet steadily Nexus-related leaks and tips are increasing in number.
Coming to more recent news, today Android Police is reporting that larger memory storage options, most likely of close to 128GB would be available for the Huawei made Nexus and that is something that would be a record for a branded device like Nexus.
What it will do is that it also puts the Nexus 6 or the Nexus 6P on par with the latest releases from other companies like Galaxy S6 from Samsung or from other companies as well. As per Android Police with a premium of close to US$50-100 on each 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants of the Nexus lineup of models. Android Police also says that Nexus 6 can also come with a MicroSD card slot. If that’s the way, then it has the potential to touch around 256 GB of storage and that is really something right?
With the app industry booming, it is very much likely that we would fall short of space or rather gigabytes in the near future and this step from Google is really strategic and just in the right time to make the whole deal very desirable. Most of the big companies have opted for bigger storage spaces to make their products more competitive. This in turn will increase its usability and more importantly enhances its practicality as well. Though Apple is still going through with their 16 GB models, which is rather surprising but it is more likely that they will also walk in the same path as gigabytes are something really necessary and exhaustive. So the more, the better!
With all the right boxes ticked, this is will surely be the most anticipated Nexus lineup ever. We are hooked to news related to Nexus right now and we know you are too. So stay tuned!
