StreetPass data swapping is handy for 3DS owner who want to expand their games with the content of other players, but there is a limit of how many new people you can accept at once. If you’re wondering why there is such a limit, it seems that Nintendo has been doing a spot of future-proofing.
Nintendo’s Kouichi Kawamoto told Kotaku that the 10 player connection cap in StreetPass Mii Plaza leaves headroom for larger data exchanges. He didn’t spell any beans on what this additional info could be, but he noted that Nintendo will only lift the limit if they decided that there is nothing more to add.
He said that there are not any current plans to lift the limit.
