The April software update for Nvidia Shield has arrived and this time the update is bringing a handful of new features. The update brings Android 4.4.2 KitKat to the console as well. The noteworthy new features are betas for Remote GameStream and laptops, a keyboard and mouse support in console mode, and an updated TegraZone.
Remote GameStream brings the ability to stream games through the internet from your PC to your Shield. The standard GameStream lets you stream only through your WiFi network. The Remote GameStream also lets you do Wake on LAN, a feature allows you to remotely turn on your computer and enter your password through the Shield.
The new update also adds a number of devices to the compatibility list. Now you can add laptops equipped with GTX 600M, GTX 700M, and GTX 800M which was not in the compatibility list last time. Below is the full list of features which came with the April software update.
