After a busy year creating what may very well be the worlds first successful smartwatch, Pebble have hit CES to launch the next step in the evolution of the Pebble smartwatch. May we present to you, the Pebble Steel.
The Pebble Steel brings you all those original features that you know and love about the original Pebble, but replaces the design with a stylish stainless steel body. For those that like a little more choice, the Pebble Steel will come with an extra strap, made of leather. So if you’re a leather strap fan, Pebble now has you covered.
Moving away from hardware, the Pebble Steel will come with the all-new centralized Pebble appstore – a one-stop shop for Pebble apps, games and so on. The store should be live and kicking by the end of the month and by the sound of things, the original Pebble will also be supported. More good news comes in the form of Mercedes-Benz, Pandora and ESPN bringing their very own Pebble apps to the store.
If the Pebble Steel is appealing to you, it’ll be available in two colours: Brushed Stainless Steel and Black Matte. It’ll set your wallet back to the tune of $249 and shipping will start on January 28th.
