In a surprising about-turn, Rogers have announced that they are going to carry the BlackBerry Z30, despite saying earlier that they wouldn’t. The carrier initially told The Globe and Mail that there were going to pass on the latest BlackBerry offering due to limited shelf space and wanting to pick “the biggest winners”. It would seem however that there is a lot of demand for the phone from BlackBerry loyalists that Rogers have changed their stance.
In a statement released today, Rogers stated that this change was not only in response to “customers” feedback and excitement about the Z30 but also that they have a “longstanding partnership with BlackBerry” and that they will “continue to be big supporters of the company and their products.” There is no prices or availability just yet, but Rogers have said that the phone will be available online, through their national reservation system and to its enterprise customers.
