Samsung Galaxy A8 – The thinnest Samsung’s smartphone

As we have said many times in previous articles, Samsung is one of the biggest technology companies. For many years now the company keeps surprising us by releasing some of the coolest smartphones with the best technical features and even some innovative exciting designs. A good example of the design is the edge versions of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Note 4.

Now Samsung accomplished one more achievement by releasing the thinnest of the company’s smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy A8’s thickness will not be more than 5.9 mm. The phone made its first appearance in pictures that leaked to the internet while it seems that that it has already been approved for release by the FCC of the United Stated. Again, note that this will be the first Samsung smartphone whose thickness will be roughly 6mm.

According the some sources based in Asia as well as the popular site Phone Arena, the device will have a 5.7 inches screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and AMOLED technology.

Some other information that has leaked about the Samsung Galaxy A8 talk about a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core processor that clocks at 1.5 GHz. At the back there will be a 16 Megapixels camera while the one at the front side will have 5 Megapixels resolution, which makes it perfect for selfies (click here, to read about the best smartphone to take selfies with). Samsung’s thinnest smartphone will have a total weight of 142 gr. And the battery’s capacity will be 3,050mAh. The internal memory available will be 16 GB (surprisingly, there does not seem to be any leaked information about other version with larger capacity storage).

It all leads to the conclusion that the Samsung Galaxy A8 is ready to move to the final stage which is the release to the markets. However it remains unclear when exactly it will be released and at what price. So stay tuned to learned what is new about this and many other hot topics!
