Despite the widespread and unchallenged rumors that have recently surfaced on the internet, Sony are thus far not confirming nor denying the rumors about the planned next-gen game called DriveClub.
A statement is currently unavailable about the games future and the apparent change of plans for the project. We are lead to believe that sadly those concerned about the game will not be getting answers today. The official communication could take some time however it could also be surfacing tomorrow, no source is exactly sure as of yet.
On Wednesday, two gaming sources (The Same Coin and Kotaku) both said that they have reasons to believe that a delay for the game has been added. The PS4 racing game may be delayed until 2014 says Kotaku’s source who is apparently “a person familiar with goings-on at Sony.”
Answers have not seen much room for answers when DriveClub design director Paul Rustchynsky tweeted that even he was unsure with the happenings with the game as he has “been out if the office for a week looking after my newborn!”
Company executives who normally offer answers via social media formats via Twitter have so far not responded to questions. Playstation are usually good at responding to questions and rumors within a couple of hours at most. This suggests that the rumor is true and they are working on a way to correctly announce the DriveClub delay to the hungry market of PS4 consumers.
