Sony is one of the top companies in the smartphones industry, a fact that occurs not only by sales data but also by user reviews, rates and preferences mentioned on various blogs and forums.
This time, the colossal company comes to add one more successful – as it seems so far – model to what has proven to be a great series, the Z series. The new Sony Xperia Z4v, the youngest member of the Z series after Z3+ and Z4, was recently presented by Samsung and what we saw made a very good first impression.
The new smartphone has a 5.2inch screen with QHD technology and an outstanding resolution of 2560 x 1440. The processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 with 8 cores (octa-core) with half of them running at 1.5GHz and the other half at 2GHz . This particular choice of processor raised some questions, as Sony admitted, earlier this week, that the said chip – which is also used at the Sony Xperia Z3+ – causes the device to overheat.
Comparing to the Z3+ and Z4 models, the Z4v is approximately 2mm thicker which makes it 8.6mm thick. Of course the device comes with the latest Google’s Android operating system, version 5.0 Lollipop which if we had to guess, we’d say it will be upgradable to the new Android M once the last is released.
The new smartphone features a 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage capacity with the option to expand later using a microSD chip up to 128GB. Surprisingly, this time, there will be no similar edition that vary on the RAM and the internal memory.
As for the camera, the Z series is well known for the great cameras with breath taking resolutions and the new Z4v is here to prove it once more. It is equipped with a water resistant 20.7Mpixels camera with a 5248 х 3936 resolution.
And of course the new Sony Xperia Z4v will have a 3.000mAh battery, which will give the owners plenty of hours to use it before it needs to be charged.
Overall, this is Sony’s best smartphone and even though the price has not been known yet, it is expected to be released at a very fair price. We expect to see the Sone Xperia Z4v during this month so given that more than half of June has passed we are only a few days away!
