Sony’s premium Xperia Z3+

sony-xperia-z3-01Last month, Sony presented the new Sony Xperia Z4 but only for the Japanese markets while the company revealed that a new edition would follow for the rest of the markets.

Truly a few hours ago, Sony mobile announced the Sony Xperia Z3+ an elegant premium smartphone with high performance that is now added to the Xperia Z3 smartphone series.

The new device will be released in June and is has the exact same technical features with the Xperia Z4. But comparing to the Xperia Z3, the Xperia Z3+ is 6.9mm thinner and weighs 114gr. less while a decent effort has been put to the outside designing detail this time. The new addition to the Xperia Z family is waterproof with resistance to dust (IP65/68) and an improved artistic design.

The Xperia Z3+ will be available classic black, white copper and aqua green.

A special feature that makes this new smartphone standout is the USB port with no cap, which makes it easier to charge the device. In addition to that, the magnetic charging needle has been removed thus providing an overall more smooth and minimalistic design. It features a glossy finish on metal frame, glass and curved edges, features that add to the device a particularly appealing appearance.

Moving on to the inside we see an Octa-Core 64bit Snapdragon 810 processor combined with a LTE Cat 6 supported by Wi-Fi MIMO that provides higher connection speed from a further distance and up to 300Mbps. At this point it is worth mentioning that Sony took a risk choosing the Snapdragon 810 for the new smartphone as there have been many reports about this particular model overheating. In fact, due to those reports, LG avoided using the said processor in LG G4.

As for the battery, you’ll be surprised to know that it embodies innovative technology that help you keep your phone’s battery and achieve operating autonomy for up to 2 days! And not only that, but the device can be fully usable for a whole with only 45 minutes of charging, something that is possible with the Qualcomm Quick Chrge 2.0, like the UCH10 (only for Singly SIM devices.) It really seems that Sony understands better than ever before the users’ needs when it comes to smartphones.

The new Xperia’s screen is 5.2 inch, Full HD and it is designed with the Sony TRILUMINOS, Live Colour LED and X-Reality technologies which all ensure sharper and more vivid colours. Furthermore, the intuitive contrast enhancement provides the optimum viewing experience even in strong sunlight.

As for the camera, the back one is 20.7 MP with an Exmor RS sensor and a 25 mm wide angle lens. It is also supports by the Superior Auto feature which automatically optimizes the best possible image while it can recognize up to 52 different scenarios. And if that is not enough then you can shoot some HDR videos in 4K resolution for unbeatable results.

The front 5MP camera has an Exmor R sensor and a 25mm wide angle lens that will definitely tempt you to get a few selfies.

And we kept the best for the end. The new Sony Xperia Z3+ will be able to connect to PlayStation 4 through Wi-Fi and combined with the PS4 Remote Play.

Overall, this June we are expecting to see one more innovative smartphone from a great company.
