The much anticipated Apple’s new budget version of iPhone has been the centre for a lot of rumours and leaks recently. But none of them was legitimate enough to confirm the existence of this budget version. But today the confirmation of the budget version iPhone came from a team of undercover officers from China.
A team of undercover official were sent to 3 factories owned by Pegatron which is an Apple supplier for checking for the alleged labor right violations. they manage to give the news a bit info about the iPhone Lite which is the budget version. Here is piece of a Diary entry written by an undercover official.
“Today’s work is to paste protective film on the iPhone’s plastic back cover to prevent it from being scratched on assembly lines. This iPhone model with a plastic cover will soon be released on the market by Apple.
The task is pretty easy, and I was able to work independently after a five-minute instruction from a veteran employee. It took around a minute to paste protective film on one rear cover. The new cell phone has not yet been put into mass production, so quantity is not as important. This makes our job more slow-paced than in departments that have begun mass production schedules.”
Although the important part here is about the labor work conditions, pay and the work hours, we can finally confirm that iPhone Lite is soon to be launched. A number of leaks and rumours regarding the iPhone’s low budget version was coming form Chinese forums and blogs. Yesterday we posted a leaked image which suggests that the official name for iPhone’s budget version will be iPhone 5C.
The latest reports about iPhone Lite hint us that the official launch would take place on September 18.[line]
