Unauthorized Chargers Blocked In iOS7

The increasing number of explosions and electrocution incidents because of the use of unauthorized chargers made Apple to do something about it finally. The newest update for Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS7 brings a feature by which any unauthorized chargers will be blocked and the users will not be able to use it for charging their iDevices.

The authorized lighting cables come with a chip which is used for authentication on iOS7. So if you connect any cable or charger which is not authorized to use with iDevice you will see a pop up which says “This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone.”

Here is a picture showing the pop-up message:

If you still use an unauthorized charger or an accessory Apple is offering a trade in program where you can get authorized chargers for just $10 by trading in with your knock-off charger. The offer is available in US, China, Australia, Canada, France, Germany  Japan and United Kingdom. The trade in cost is different in different countries.
